Regional labor force of 92,000
Virginia’s aCorridor offers
a regional pool of workers who travel across county and state lines
to their jobs.
Located in a right-to-work
state and with less than 5 percent union representation, the region
reports a workforce of nearly 92,000, a population of 200,000 and
access to the labor force in a connecting MSA area with a population
of almost 500,000.
Virginia also provides
excellent training resources for new industry coming to the region
as well as those planning expansions.
